Mr Ravi Barod is a brilliant Surgeon. He is caring, honest and considerate. After my operation he telephoned my family to let them know that my operation went well. He communicated with my Doctor, letting them know what treatment to give me if needed. I am very pleased to recommend Mr Barod. He is the best Surgeon and as a member of my family said, "I have won the jackpot" . God gave me the right Surgeon. Thank you so much for what you did for me.

After over 20 years of seeing different Doctors, Consultants etc I can honestly say that Mr Ravi Barod is without doubt the best Consultant I have ever come across. From the confidence he instilled in us prior to a kidney removal to his bedside manner we could not fault him. A polite, friendly and caring person who I hope the NHS never have the misfortune to lose. Thank you for everything Mr Barod, if only there were more like you!

Mr Barod explained the results of my CtT scans and ureteroscopy in great detail. He performed the subsequent removal of my kidney including the tumor with skill.

Mr Ravi Barod is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at The Specialist Centre for Kidney Cancer at The Royal Free Hospital. He is one of the highest volume kidney cancer surgeons in the UK.
After completing his urological training in London, he undertook a two year robotic surgery fellowship, mentored by pioneers of the technique in Detroit, USA. While there, he mastered complex robotic surgical techniques and he has bought this unique expertise back to the UK.
He has a strong and active track record in research and has completed a PhD investigating the molecular genetics of kidney cancer at University College London.
He is dedicated to achieve outstanding patient care, driven by clinical and academic excellence.
